Why do we judge others?

We all do it, every one of us. I know that alot of you are saying you dont, but the truth is yes you do, even if you dont realize it, you could be with your friend and someone walks by and you whisper to your friend, "was she/he really wearing that?" and then you both start laughing. Or you can be by yourself for example at a restaurant, or at the park and you notice that a younger lady and a older man are together, the first thing that comes to your mind is that shes too young for him and he to old for her. Did you ever think that thats her father? Or maybe you noticed her shirt was alittle too tight and her skirt was too short, and out no where you thought to yourself, shes a ho. Well thats still judging someone. Which brings me to my next point, there is really no difference in the term judging someone, then there is in making fun of someone. The only true difference is that making fun is used for discribing what children do, and judging is used for what adults do. Other than that, there is no difference. So when you tell a child not to make fun of someone, follow your own advice, cause they have probably seen you "judging someone" and thought it was ok since you were doing it. Why do we do it though? I mean most of us really dont realize we do it when we're doing it, and sometimes we're smart enough to catch ourselfs, and sometimes we're not. Then there are those select few that know exactly when there doing it, and love doing it. Oh yeah you know who you are, you have to judge others to make yourself feel like your worth more, when in reality your perfect little life isnt really what you make of it, and is everything other than perfect. Newsflash, I hope you know that everytime you purposly put someone down with your judgmental words that you really dont have an issue with, your really saying to them or to your friend what you really feel like telling yourself. So maybe if we all took the time to be totally and completly honest with ourselfs we wouldnt spend so much effort judging other people.

A Sparrows Journey- poem

Why as the sparrow can not fly without the help and guidance of her mother
is she left to fend for herself?
She tries to fly from the nest but falls straight to the ground, yet, she
is persitant and determinded.
She tries again, and again until one day she does it, she flies.
She waits for her mother, waits for what seems like forever,
until shes tried, tired of waiting for someone who should love, who should
care, so she flies, far away.
Then one day the mother sparrow comes back, she cant find her baby.
"How could I have left when my baby needed me she asks herself?"
But now is it too late, for the sparrow is flying, flying high in the sky,
for now she is finally free.
